Phenomenal customer service and communication. Affordable service. They truly live up to their name, Honest(1).

Over priced. If you have anything transmission related - go ANYWHERE ELSE. It seems like I'm not the only one in the reviews that feels this way. Quoted me $14,000 for a new transmission on a car that does not cost that much. Even the dealership quoted $6,000 less (complete with warranty). Out of all of the quotes I received, there was nothing else even CLOSE to this. Lots of sales gimmicks too. The other shop I ended up going with didn't need to explain to me how many years of experience their technician had OVER and OVER again (though they had just as much experience) because they didn't have to find some ridiculous way to justify robbing people. Metro transmission got it done professionally, quickly, under warranty and without any lengthy sales gimmicks.

My 72 year old dad had an experience with these guys that just convinced me they have absolutely no scruples. My dad had went off the edge of the road with his car and started hearing a noise that concerned him. So he took his car to them and asked if they'd check it out. They told him he needed new ball joints and something else. When all was said and done they "fixed" his entire front end. New ball joints, new control arms, new this, new that... it came to about $6000. It was only after when we looked at the bill we noticed they put brand new (very cheap Chinese tires) all the way around and took his nearly brand new tires we put on his car, all without telling him until he was presented with the bill. We looked under his car and NOTHING looked new or even changed, and the original noise he heard was still there. Completely corrupt mechanic shop!!! Do NOT trust them.

My name is Chad and I've been a customer at Honest 1 for at least 6 years now at this point. Have never had any issues with pricing or quality of work and have even advised friends of mine to go there. Back in January my CRV went into limp mode to find out it was a cracked head gasket. Quoted almost $6k for all of it. Okay, we approved the work and then didn't hear back from anyone for about three weeks. I receive a phone call from Chris stating that my catalytic converter desperately needs to be repaired. He goes on to tell me how he's doing me such a grand service and how if we got this part directly from Honda it would be around $6000 but he's so good he could get me the part for $3800...for a catalytic converter...for a Honda CRV. Chris then tells me that there's no labor being charged because my vehicle is already torn apart and he's getting me the part at cost with no markup. I told him I would call him back and went directly to Napa's website to price check and see that this part is $400-800. So I call Chris back and tell him not a chance am I going to be paying that much for a part and he tells me that I'm wrong on the price and he's looking at the website and it's $3080. I immediately notice the price change and tell him that no...I'm on the website, have my car selected, and don't see anything over $800. He then starts to imply that I'm not able to see what he's seeing because I'm not smart enough to do it correctly. Now this irritates me but I just decide I'm over this conversation. Chris starts to back peddle and tell me he can offer discounts and get it priced down lower but at this point I'm feeling like he's trying to fleece me so I decide to end it. As the vehicle is ending it's repair the actual mechanic reaches out to me and tells me we need this catalytic converter part replaced desperately and that he's at the part store and can price it for me. He tells me the part is $780 + $60 for overnighting. That's $780 part as opposed to $3800. Thoughts that instantly run through my head: Did they really just try to turn my $6000 repair into a $9000 repair over an $800 part? How often is this shop doing this to other people? How often has this happened to me in the past and I haven't caught it because I just blindly trusted the sales team? Should I now just make sure to go through my invoices and price check them against everything I've been charged? Should I now go and warn everyone I know about this experience in not only the civilian capacity but the veteran capacity as well? Your company name is Honest 1 and this experience makes me question the validity of it. I reached out to the owner who had someone reach out to me. They instead tried to shift blame onto the mechanic for getting me the part at cost as the sales person told me he was doing. Keith then states “they’re going to look into it” and get back to me. Never heard anything further. Honest-1 is showing their true colors as being the “DisHonest-1”

My experience here was a very pleasant one. Eric was fantastic, thorough, knowledgeable, professional, and very kind nature. He provided very detailed diagnostic data and itemized everything for me to ensure my questions were answered. The mechanic went above and beyond as well. Thank you so much!

We were "travelers" from out of the area. Immediately one of the staff came to do a battery check and said we needed to get a new one. It was confirmed one could be delivered within an hour and installed in another 20 minutes. They were right on schedule and we were back on the road in an hour and a half. The crew was friendly, polite and efficient. Waiting in the office, we were happy it was clean warm and provided good coffee. The restroom was also very clean. Thank you Erik and the rest of n the team!!!!
