Love them !! Rick rocks amazing mechanic!!

I've been going to Honest 1 for a while. While I'd say my experience with Honest 1 is above average compared to the other mechanics in the area, however I'd still rate it as average at best compared to all mechanics I've been to. From what I can tell, their prices and automobile work quality is decent, it's primarily their customer service that is lacking. Today I arrived for my appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and a coolant flush. I scheduled the appointment a week ago, verified what coolant they would use, and informed them I would be waiting in the lobby while they did the work. They also let me know that they didn't stock the manufacture recommended coolant but would happily pick some up for the job. Today, after arrival, I found out that they never obtained the coolant. So they would have to send staff to the local Mazda dealer to get the appropriate coolant. They recommended not waiting because the job would take a couple of hours. They then quoted me a final price. By the time the job was complete, 3 hours had elapsed. When I came back they charged me more than the quoted price stating that "they forgot" to add a line item to the bill. I begrudgingly paid without arguing. I opened my car door only to find mud smeared around the floor area. On my drove home my tire pressure warning light turned on. I checked my tire pressures and 2 of the 4 tires were low. Did no one check the tire pressure? And what about the 21 point inspection that they were going to send--I never got it. Generally speaking I've found every mechanic in the neighborhood to be a circus like this. Simple things always get messed up. Checking fluids and pressures of the parts that you touch, agreeing to service price totals that are actually correct, sending documentation and communication that you say you're going to send, having the parts needed in hand BEFORE scheduled appointments, not making messes in people cars or at least wiping up a little after an accident. In short, their lack of responsibility invades customer trust. From what I can tell, the auto mechanic industry is too cut throat for this kind of tomfoolery. Time will tell whether Honest 1 gets their act together and beats out the competition, or continues to let their standards slide to match that of their competition. I should add that I've had other experiences with this company that were similar. I recall one time after they looked over my car that they "recommended" changing my cabin air filter. Seeing that I had recently replaced it, they clearly didn't check the filter before making the recommendation. Again, behavior like this invades trust. What do customers want? They want to be treated fairly. They want to be able to trust that their mechanic has their best interest in mind when working on their car. That means taking responsibility for mishaps. And that also means making changes so that mishaps don't happen ever again. Simple. If a business believes that it's perfect as-is then it's doomed to failure.

Average service over priced.Bate and switch with cheap coupons. And then have to buy a more expensive Oil Change..When serviced they over filled my engine oil,had to tame it back and have some drained out.No over of refund on extra oil used. Do not recommend.

Went to get an oil change, after the oil change, they found a nail in my tire and offered to patch it and offered me a new cabin air filter at a quoted price. Told me that would all take 5 minutes and I would be on the road. 40 minutes later they wanted me to also pay $15 for the tire patch. Then when I called them out on misleading me they told me usually the patch would cost $20 and they were actually cutting me a deal. A shouting match later they removed the extra cost for the tire patch and charged my card. Now 2 weeks later they called me and told me my card only covered part of the transaction and they need the rest. Verified through my bank account that was accurate, but I don't know how they waited this long to contact me about it. Oh well, reminded me that I needed to leave them a bad review. *EDIT POST SINCE THEY REPLIED TO MY REVIEW* The dishonesty continues. Here's a screenshot of my recent calls from your phone number. You called me once before and then again 9 days later when I called you back promptly to pay you. The time you called on the 18th you didn't leave a voicemail, my voice mailbox is full. I would have called you back on the 18th to pay you, but you call from a number that doesn't show up as Honest-1 when you put it through a search. You and your employees all suck. I'll spread the word.

I stopped in for a quote and was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service I received from Kyle & Jerry. I haven't seen that in a long time. They made me feel like family and not just another car. If there work is half as good as their customer service, they earned a customer for life.

Thank you So much Joe. We really appreciate You & your business if there's anything you need don't hesitate to ask Thank you Chris, Kyle & Jerry

I bought a Groupon for oil changes at honest one. I have gone and gotten my oil changed three times, and never paid because with the groupon you get 4 oil changes. My second time getting my oil changed, I showed up for my appointment and then waited an hour to find out the secretary scheduled me during everyone's lunch break. Most recently on 8/3 I went in to get my oil changed and they told me it would be 70, I was confused because I had the Groupon thst covers four oil changes, and did not pay the two other times. The person elaborated and told me that my car takes synthetic oil so it cost extra. The staff pulled up my file to find out that the two other times I had gotten my oil changed they had put in a blend without telling me that my car needed synthetic. After the oil change they also did an inspection on my car and told me that I had a tear in my cv joint. I proceeded to ask what that meant, the staff member used a different term for the cv joint EVERYTIME, calling it a boot or drive shafts. I was confused by the jargon. I was told that if not taken care of I can loose control of my car. Which is true, but not at the level of damage my car was at. I wold describe the experience as an attempt to confuse and scare me into paying for repairs. I decided to call my father, he explained to me thst he would be able to fix it saving me 500 dollars. Upon self inspection, there is a slight tear in the seam of the boot, and I am not throwing oil. I will not loose control of my car with a tear in the boot. I would not describe honest one as honest people. If you go there I would recommend self inspection before paying for any repairs from these scam artists.

I discovered a fluid leak emanating from the inside of the front passenger tire. I called and got an appointment for the next working day. They discovered that one of the washers on a new part installed last March was defective. With the covid -19 situation as it is, I had only used a single tank of gas in all of that time. They fixed the problem, checked the other replaced part and had me out of there in an hour, and at no charge as it was from a previous job.
